A few weeks back, thanks to an introduction by Tim Pearce, I met up with Zoe Hayter, a great Anglo-Czech singer-songwriter, who is partially based not far from us in France. We set ourselves the challenge to meet up for the first time and get a set together in a day and a half for a couple of gigs. Not only did we succeed in doing so, and played a lovely couple of shows in The Escale in Saint-Bouize and Com Chez Nous in La Ville de La Charité-sur-Loire, but we also managed to record a new song of hers, "Buckets of Love", which she has now released on all the platforms. Check it outA few weeks ago, after spending a truly heart warming, precious and inspiring time with my grandma Freddie from the Footsbarn Travelling Theatre, I wrote a song for her. As every message she leaves me ends with her writing ‘buckets of love’.
Three days later I met the wonderful Mark Mulholland, entering another adventure. Between our gigs in two stunning French villages we sat down in his studio and recorded the song as fresh and real as it can be. And here it is now.
Huge thank you to Mark for giving this song the life it was meant to have.
